Victorian silver water jug
Unusually large and rare solid silver water jug in a design that is more Art Nouveau than Victorian. Made by the quality maker Elkington & Co in London 1895. The jug holds 2.4 litres and pours beautifully and doesn't leak. Shouldered bulbous form, embossed in relief with acanthus lappet and beaded reed band with a fluted S scroll handle.
