Very unusual spherical scuttle in silver forming a novelty open salt.
The spherical 'scuttle' has a circular pedestal base with intricate embossed designs to the body and a handle to the back. The interior is gilded and it is clearly hallmarked to the base. Dated 1891 Birmingham and marked D & B for Deakin and Francis Ltd.
