An unusual late 19th century emerald and split pearl gold brooch. Small memorial panel on the reverse. Replacement brooch fittings.
Emerald calculated weight 0.75ct, based on estimated dimensions of 7.2 by 4.9 by 2.9mms. Length 3.5cms. 6.4gms.
Emerald medium green fairly well saturated, with typical light and dark inclusions running through the stone.
Stones in good condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Split pearl creamy yellow and creamy white body colour, rose and olive overtones.
