A Catherine II Russian late 18th century 84 Zolotnik (875 standard) silver vodka cup (Charka), Moscow 1774 by Г. З, probably the son of Gavril Gavrilov.
Of oval quatrefoil lobed form, upon a collet foot with an applied C scroll handle. The body with flat-chased decoration of rocaille scroll cartouches, gilt interior. Fully marked underneath with the assayer mark for Ivan Saveliev (active 1772-78) and alderman’s mark of Fedor Petrov (active 1759-84). Mark: Postnikova 2369
