A set of six Russian silver, parcel gilt and niello lemon tea spoons by Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow 1888, 84 zolotniki, with Imperial warrant mark. The backs of the bowls have views of Kremlin gateways and the tapered handles have inverted conical terminals.
Starting in 1841, Wilhelm Keibel, followed by his son and grandson, were the sole official manufacturers of state awards for the Capitulum - the state authority in Imperial Russia in charge of state medals - until the end of the 19th century. Gustav Fabergé was trained at Keibel.
