A superb Art Nouveau silver and enamel brooch by the famous Murrle Bennett & Co as sold in Liberty of London. This unusual shaped brooch with a foliate design is typical of the Art Nouveau period and features honesty leaves in silver relief. The enamel on the brooch is a vibrant mix of turquoise blues with hints of green. No damage or scratches to any of the enamel. There is a gold pin typically used by Murrle Bennett & Co for their brooches with a 'c' clasp both in excellent condition. It is marked on the back 950 for high quality silver and has the trademark M B & Co.
Measures 3.5 cms / 1.4 ins across and 1.8 cms / 0.7 ins down.
