An exquisite set of rare silver circular buttons set with characteristic peacock blue-green enamel, made by William Hair Haseler for Liberty & Co. in their original box. These buttons were sold by Liberty & Co as part of their CYMRIC range and date to around 1901-5. Designers for this range included Archibald Knox. Sets rarely come up for auction and due to the enamelling process each button and set is unique. The enamelling on these buttons is outstanding and vibrant and they catch the light beautifully. In good condition for their age, with excellent enamel. Each button measures 1cm. Fully marked: five of the buttons are marked L & Co. for Liberty & Co. and CYMRIC; one button has the maker's mark, WHH, for William Hair Haseler and SILVER.
