Norwegian Sterling silver panel brooch of rectangular outline with enamel decoration of fourteen lozenge shaped burnt orange motifs against a black and white ground. This is mid 20th century Modernist op-art cloisonné technique. The back has a simple c-clasp and is signed D-A 925S Norway Sterling, along with the Andersen and scales hallmarks.
This 1962 Hannelore Sorge design was featured in the Norwegian magazine Gullsmedkunst (Art of Silversmithing), 1965
