A very attractive painting of a senior officer wearing a light grey uniform with red collar and silver epaulettes. He is wearing an unidentified order of chivalry.
Set in the original oval shaped frame with coiled gold set on the border. The back is unusual as it is mother of pearl. Whatever held the back attached has been removed and it is possible it was made into a pendant.
