A George V Arts and Crafts sterling silver and enamel photograph frame, marked for Birmingham 1919 by Liberty & Co. A rectangular frame with applied rosettes. The rosettes in the corners are enamelled. There is a mahogany easel back. Fully marked to the edge and with numerals 5735.
Outer dimensions 27 x 19.6cm (10.6 x7.75in). Aperture dimensions 21.5 x 15.5cm (8.5 x 6.1in)
Stands well on its easel. The mahogany back section is well preserved and of a pleasing warm colour, minor scratches. One pin holding the silver is missing to the middle left of the frame, small marks and scratches visible to the edges commensurate with age and use. The glass is the original rough-cut sheet glass, some scuffs and adhesive residue to interior base. The enamel sections are well preserved. The other prunts have built up tarnish in the crevices. The silver marks are excellent.
