A George V sterling silver novelty pepperette, London 1911, possibly by Frederick William Hentsch. Realistically modelled as a chick, the pull-off head with drill pierced holes for the pepper. Fully marked to the underside and part-marked to the lid bezel.
Length 5 cm (2in) Weight 24 gm
Condition is very good. It stands well on its feet. There are traces of gilding to the feathers.
The silver marks are fine but the makers mark is distorted
