Original French Art nouveau small carved bovine horn brooch. Smooth to the touch, perfectly shaped, no warping or cracks. There appear to be yellow lines on the body possibly to indicate a bee. Such jewellery was carved by Japanese craftsmen in Paris around 1900. Has impressed letters (SGDG) near to the hinge on the pin, a French patent mark.
