A minaudière, or vanity case, is a women's fashion accessory, generally considered a jewellery piece, intended to substitute for an evening bag. This is an Art Deco silver and enamel minaudiere. Probably 1930s, in a rare design in enamel on the front showing 2 dancers in black and white with flowers all over the ladies’ dress. She also has detail in her hair and on her arm. The case opens to reveal two spaces for the compact and puff and the original bevelled mirror in poor condition. The knob on the compartments has a cut gemstone. Another compartment opens to reveal the ivorine sheet for noting down dance partners. Also, a clip for notes. The clip is on a spring to keep notes safe.
