1920s Rare American sterling silver combination compact and sovereign case.
Silver case with sprung holders for half and full sovereigns. Also with a hinged mirror and powder compartment below and a hinged clip beneath the cover for banknotes or calling cards. This is supported with a silver link chain, marked 'STERLING' for silver and 'N & M' above sovereign holders for the maker. case 9cm length, 6cm width, 95gm total weight.
