A rare early brooch probably Iberian c 1770. The brooch consists of three parts all interlocking. The top and middle sections are openwork filigree floral and foliate scrolls with a cartouche panel set with rose cut diamonds. The central stones are raised in a beaded collet on the top two sections with last section consisting a pear-shaped drop with rose cut diamond. The rose gold is of high quality with the smaller diamonds set in silver. The central diamond in the middle is 0.5cm diam. the pear-shaped diamond approximately 0.6cm. and the top central diamond is approximately 0.4cm. There are three other diamonds of about 0.3cm and 16 smaller diamonds.
One tiny diamond is missing from the top and the top centre diamond has a hair line crack
