An oval ivory pendant carved with flowers and birds on both sides.  The top of the oval has a carved arch forming the holder for the thread. There is a bead at the base of the thread and an ivory screw clasp.
6cm (2½in) tall
4.5 cm (2in) wide
Excellent condition.
The UK ban on ivory trading in 2016 covers the sale of items containing ivory made after 1947. Trade in ‘worked’ items, such as works of art and ornaments dating from before 1947 (deemed ‘antiques’) are permitted.
