A rare Victorian ring dated 1901, 15ct Birmingham. It has a blue centre stone probably sardonyx, that has been carved into a flower (forget-me-not) with a pearl set on each side. The band has an engraved pattern and has five sections cut into it revealing braided hair underneath. A mourning ring is a finger ring worn in memory of someone who has died. The braided hair could be from that person to remember them by.
It is in good condition but a tiny crack along the inside of the ring near the hallmark.
